Guidelines for the second round of research applications from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) are available online now, with an application deadline of November 6, 2012. The NEA anticipates awarding up to 25 grants (which do not require matching funds) ranging from $10,000 to $30,000.

The NEA previously awarded a limited number of grants to research projects that investigate the value and impact of the arts in the United States. Past and future grants support projects that are designed to use existing, high-quality datasets to examine novel and significant research questions about the arts.

A list of prior grantees can be found on the NEA’s website. Please contact nearesearchgrants@arts.gov with any questions.
